Question: How to Apply Colour Street Nails

Answer: Colour Street is a company that produces nail polish strips. A pack contains 16 double-ended strips, which might sound complicated, but the process is not as hard as it may look, thanks to YouTuber Melissa Haole's tips.

Step 1: To start, wipe your nails with a prep pad and select your nail size. Take off the strip cover and the backing. Hold the centre of the strip to get the most flexibility.
Step 2: Place the strip at the bottom of your nail, down on your cuticle line. The goal is to have the nail strip as close as possible to where your cuticle line is. Then smooth the base back and forth, go up the centre and over the sides.
Step 3: Pinch the nail strip at the end of your nail. Don't forget to leave a little bit of the product under your nail, as it shrinks when dry.
Step 4: Pinch the product under the nail and break it. Remove the excess.
Step 5: Repeat this process on all the nails.

Question: How to Apply Fake Lashes

Answer: False eyelashes can be so tricky. Here's how best to handle this hard process, according to YouTuber Laura Lee. [5]

Step 1: If you want your false eyelashes to look natural, you need to curl your own eyelashes. This way the falsies will blend in.
Step 2: Apply mascara before you put on the falsies, so your eyelashes don't get clumpy.
Step 3: If you are using a strip, dip the back of the strip in a puddle of glue and put them on. Let the glue dry. As the glue dries, bend and twist the last to help fit the shape of your eye. [6] Use an applicator to further apply the glue side to the top of your lash line. If you are using individual lashes, dip the end of each lash in a little glue puddle and apply using tweezers.

Question: How to Apply Blush

Answer: If you have a round face shape or are after an instant lift, you can create an elongated look by applying the blush on the cheekbones, pulling it up and out toward the temples. To define your face even further, top off with bronzer [7] on the hallows of the cheeks and right under the jawbone.

If you have a long or oval face shape, apply the blush just under the apples of the cheeks to add dimension and the illusion of roundness. You can also emphasise bone structure [8] and square out your face by applying blush right below the apples of the cheeks, blending it up and out.

Question: How to Apply Liquid Foundation

Answer: Liquid foundation [9] is a little bit harder to deal with as it's more prone to crease, melt, or move off of your face. There are a couple ways to apply liquid foundation. Before you apply foundation with your hands, make sure your fingers are clean. Then, spread the product gently around your skin, starting in your T-zone and blending out.

If you choose to use a brush, pair it with a viscous foundation so that it's easier to blend [10]. Grab a flat-top brush and pour a small amount of foundation on the back of your hand. Using the end of the bristles, dip your brush into the foundation and start applying the foundation at the nose with small round movements. Work outward from these central areas to the edges of your face, then move to the cheeks, chin, and forehead working in small circles. Make sure to use short, quick strokes in the same direction.

If you are more of a sponge person like our editor Kirbie Johnson [11], grab your beauty blender and wet it before dipping it in your makeup. Begin by tapping product from the middle of the face, by the nose, and then move outwards toward your hairline. Start tapping the product on between the eyebrows, then move upwards to the forehead. Next, tap foundation on the chin and along the jawline. Apply a setting powder using a small brush and blend away.

Question: How to Apply Self-Tanner

Answer: The first step to a long-lasting tan is exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. After you've done that, start applying the self-tanner to dry skin in sections (such as the arms, then legs, followed by the torso). Massage the self-tanner into your skin in circular motions to ensure an even blend.

Make sure to wash your hands after each section to avoid orange-coloured palms. Blend the self-tanner at your wrists and ankles and extend the tanner from your wrists to your hands and from your ankles to your feet for a natural look. After you are done applying, give your skin enough time to dry, at least 10 minutes.

Question: How to Apply Mascara

Answer: There are many ways to put on mascara [12] that will give you the full and far-reaching lashes. After you choose your mascara [13], tilt your head up slightly and look into the mirror. Now, decide which part of your eyes you'd like to emphasise. If you focus on the outer lashes, you can lengthen the eye a bit to get a cat-eye effect. But if you want more of a wide-awake lash look, focus on the centre lashes instead. Start at the roots and use a zigzag motion all the way upward toward the ends. This way you'll fully cover the lashes while keeping them separated. To add length, roll your wand on the top of lashes to coat the ends. Once the first coat is dry, move on to the second coat.

Question: How to Apply Primer

Answer: First, choose the right primer [14] for your skin and what you want to accomplish. After you have your primer, wash your face with a cleanser and apply moisturiser. Pour a pea-sized amount on the back of your hand to ensure you use the right amount (Using too much primer can cause your foundation to pill or clump.) Apply the primer to the centre of your face and use gentle, circular motions to blend it outward. Make sure to get your hairline and neck. Allow the primer to dry completely before putting other products on your face.

Question: How to Make Your Nails Grow Faster

Answer: Making your nails grow faster isn't so cut and dried, but there are a few things you can do to increase your odds of a longer set according to nail technician Beetna Lee [15].

Step 1: Remember to eat well and take your biotin, which is a water-soluble vitamin B complex that enriches the integumentary system, aka your hair, skin, nails, and endocrine glands.
Step 2: Moisturise your nails daily [16] as a part of your beauty routine. A cuticle cream or oil should be applied to the skin around the nails a few times a day.
Step 3: Don't pick at your nails.
Step 4: Try a gel manicure for an extra push. If done (and removed) correctly, gel manicures can help your nails become more durable.
Step 5: Be patient!

Question: How to Make Your Eyelashes Longer

Answer: These days, there are plenty of eyelash treatments [17] you can try to make yours longer, like extensions, perms, and lash growth serums.

If you're looking for a quick fix, you can always choose to get lash extensions. You can either use the daily faux lash strips, which you remove before bed, or opt to get yours done by a professional, which typically last from two to three weeks without touch-ups, but can be maintained for a year. If you're looking to grow your natural lashes, you can try serums. There are over-the-counter options like from LashFood or Elizabeth Arden, or you can try out a prescription formula like Latisse, which is the "Beyoncé of lash serums," according to beauty editor Kirbie Johnson. Lash perms can also be a good option if you're trying to make your lashes look longer for a period of time.

Question: How to Wear a Headband

Answer: There are many ways to wear headbands [18]. When you're wearing a headband with your hair down, any style will work. You can choose a thin headband for a delicate look, a wide headband [19] for a bolder look, or a tiara-like design [20] for a night look. If you are dressing up a pony or braid with a headband, look for a more casual headband.
