Jennifer Aniston [2] is welcoming the summer months with a hair update. The actor's hairstylist, Chris McMillan [3], posted a picture of the two of them while simultaneously revealing Aniston's new cut: a light hair "dusting." [4]
Captioning the photo, "Nothing better than a fresh summer cut✂️for @jenniferaniston [5]," McMillan went on to write that a good summer haircut [6] should do the heavy lifting for you, allowing you to wash and wear your hair with ease. If you're looking for a minimal hair change, this age-old technique may be for you. "Hair dusting is cutting a very small amount of hair," Leonardo Manetti [7], master stylist at Rob Peetoom Salon Williamsburg [8], previously told POPSUGAR. "It's similar to a trim, except there is less hair that is cut."
While every hair type [9] can benefit from a "dusting," it's particularly helpful for retaining length while also getting rid of split ends.
