Jennifer Lopez [2] loves a good curtain bang. Even before the hair trend officially made a comeback [3] at the start of 2020, she was wearing the style. It comes with the territory of being a true trendsetter [4].

But J Lo's newest hairstyle [5] is a twist on her usual shaggy curtain bang look [6]. This time, with a little help from her go-to stylist Chris Appleton [7], she went for a subtle blunt curtain bang that hits right at her cheekbones. "What do you think to today's look Blunt Curtain bangs on JLO ?" read Appleton's caption on his Instagram carousel of images showing off the bangs from every angle.

The bangs, paired with her pin-straight, extra-long hairstyle [8], is giving us major early 2000s vibes. It takes us back to the hours we spent in the bathroom, straightener in hand, going over the ends of our hair again and again until every inch was flattened — except J Lo's rendition is far sleeker than anything we could ever pull off. (We can also guarantee she didn't miss a piece of hair at the back of her head like we always did.)
