Khloé Kardashian is switching up her signature look. After consistently wearing her hair blond [1] in recent years — even going platinum on a number of occasions [2] — the television personality went for a darker look to celebrate her 36th birthday on June 27. "I'm loving my brown hair," Kardashian wrote on Instagram. The sultry birthday look was styled by Andrew Fitzsimons [3], Ricky Mota, and Maisha Oliver, while Kardashian's waist-length extensions are Chaviv Hair by Violet Tereti. Kardashian added, "I never thought I would say that lol blonde still owns my heart but this brown is giving me a little something right now."
Although Kardashian's natural hair colour is dirty blond [4], longtime Keeping Up With the Kardashians viewers will recall that Kardashian actually used to regularly wear her hair in an even darker shade of brown. "I am naturally dirty blonde, and I always was light and then went dark before we started filming, and I was kind of identified with always being dark like my sisters were," she told NewBeauty in 2015. "While I think I could go back dark in some way, I feel like before, I was very much trying to fit this cookie cutter mold, and now I don't."
