Another day, another Michael Rubin white party slay. On July 4, Kim Kardashian [2] attended Rubin's annual party in the Hamptons and, of course, was decked out in the party's signature colour. Still, ever the source of beauty inspiration, Kardashian managed to serve up a trendy manicure [3] that we haven't stopped thinking about: strawberry-milk nails [4].
Kardashian's nails were kept their regular short length and filed into a square shape [5] for the event. As is characteristic of the strawberry-milk manicure, Kardashian's digits were painted a milky-pink hue for that perfect neutral [6] that suits the entrepreneur's normal colour palette, but is also still trendy thanks to the onslaught on Barbie pink hair, makeup, and of course nails [7], due to the movie premiere being right around the corner. She finished with a glossy topcoat and opted out of any other art, keeping it simple and classic.
Strawberry-milk nails are the latest look to trend thanks to the popularity of its predecessor, the milk-bath [8]. The original typically involves taking dried flowers and embedding them inside a milky-white acrylic but it has evolved to become a standalone shade, a base colour for more intricate designs, and even the inspiration behind another emerging trend: blueberry-milk nails [9]. Needless to say, the milky trend has become one of the most versatile looks we've encountered in a while.
