If you're on beauty TikTok, chances are you've stumbled across Kalista Hesch and her 11-year-old sister Worthy's videos. Since going viral in October 2020, the duo have amassed 1.8 million followers on TikTok and 92.9K followers on Instagram with their fun hair videos.
While Hesch loves doing her little sister's hair, Worthy prefers to play the role of hairdresser as much as possible. Her interest in hair started to show when she was just 5 years old, shortly after her family adopted her and brought her home from China. "Worthy would pick up my brother's Legos and brush everyone's hair," Hesch told POPSUGAR. But they didn't start posting videos of the sweet hair moments they shared until just this past year.
One night when Worthy was sleeping over at Hesch and her husband's apartment, Hesch decided to make a TikTok with her little sister and share it with her 76 followers on the app. "I woke up the next day on my birthday with over a million views," Hesch said. She assumed it would be a one-time thing, but three months later, they hit one million followers. "I could not be happier to 'work' with Worthy," she said.
Of all the hair videos that Worthy and Hesch have made together, and they've made a lot, Worthy's favourite always involves a curling iron or straightener. "The hot tools are always off when she is using them," Hesch said. Whether it's Worthy practicing her ponytail-making skills or wielding a curling iron, the 30-second clips are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
