Leave it to Lizzo [3] to give a traditional french manicure [4] the most luxurious spin we've ever seen. The Cuz I Love You singer was recently spotted leaving a restaurant in Los Angeles wearing a french manicure [5] with gold tips that she ever-so-casually matched with the gold Prada bag she was carrying. According to a recent Instagram post, the nails were designed by LA-based manicurist Eri Ishizu [6].
We've seen tons of people get creative with french manicures ever since their unexpected resurgence in 2018: the glass french manicure [7] is a minimal design featuring transparent tips while "neon french twist" [8] nails feature tips that are painted with neon colours versus the standard white. At this point, there are about a billion different ways that you can make a classic french manicure stand out, and we're definitely not surprised that Lizzo chose to go the fancy route.
