Lucy Hale hasn't looked back since drastically cutting her long hair into a bob [1] five years ago. "It was the most liberating thing I've ever done," the actress and Katy Keene [2] star recently said in an interview [3] for the March 2020 issue of Cosmopolitan.
Though she was pleased with her decision, and she's cut her hair even shorter [4] since, Hale said men often offer their unsolicited thoughts on her hair length. "I couldn't tell you the amount of times when guys were like, 'You should grow your hair out again. I like long hair.' I'm like, 'I'm not cutting my f*cking hair for you,'" she said. "I cut my hair for me. And I feel great with it this way."
Hale continued her relatable rant: "A lot of guys don't like a bold lip colour. I love a bold lip colour. I don't care. I don't care! I truly don't dress for men at all. I dress for me and what I think is cool." "Preach" might be an overused expression, but it sure feels right in this scenario.
