Madelaine Petsch's Hairstyle Tutorials For Staying Home

Madelaine Petsch Shared 5 Hairstyles For Staying Home (Including 1 Inspired by Cheryl)

Madelaine Petsch shared on her YouTube channel that she's focusing on self-care now more than ever while at home. Her two favourite things to do: crafts and her hair. In the video, Petsch made a case for creating and following a routine and explained she feels more productive when she "puts herself together in the morning." Whether that means applying a quick coat of mascara and a tinted sunscreen or doing a full face of makeup, it looks different for everyone.

For Petsch, that means using her Dyson Corrale Cordless Straightener to create one of her five favourite hairstyles for staying home. See what they are ahead.

At-Home Hairstyle #1: Straightener Waves

The first style is loose straightener waves. To start, she sprays on dry shampoo to add volume and sections her hair by pulling half to each side of her head. Working with a one-inch section of hair at a time, she wraps it around the straightener and curls away from her face. At the end, she runs her fingers through the style to break up the curls and give it more of a natural look.

At-Home Hairstyle #2: Half-Up, Half-Down Waves

Working with her wavy hair from style number one, Petsch said she also likes to do a half-up, half-down hairstyle when she's at home to keep her hair out of her face. To do this, she grabs a few pieces of hair from the front of her head and pulls it back into a ponytail, securing it with a colourful hair tie. She then goes back and recurls a few pieces at the front of her face with the straightener. "This is Cheryl's favourite cheerleading look," Petsch said.

At-Home Hairstyle #3: Claw-Clip Bun

On straight hair, Petsch uses a claw clip to pull her hair back into a bun. She twists her hair at the back of her head before securing it with the clip. Then, with the hot tool, she straightens the ends of a few pieces sticking out of her clip. To finish off the look, she pulls a few pieces of hair loose from the front.

At-Home Hairstyle #4: Straight Low Ponytail

An easy way to elevate a simple ponytail? Straighten your hair first, and use a cute hair tie. Petsch showed how she pulls her hair back into a sleek low ponytail and secures it in place with a cloth tie for a fast hairstyle.

At-Home Hairstyle #5: Straight High Ponytail

Last but not least, Petsch gave a quick how-to for her go-to workout look (although we support wearing it for work, too): a high ponytail. She pulls her straightened hair high on top of her head before securing it in place with a hair tie. Then, for good measure, she gives it a tug to tighten it and make her hair really perk up. Last but not least, she removes a few pieces at the front of her hair and straightens them to frame her face.
