Dr. Seuss's The Grinch Musical premiered on NBC in the US tonight, and we finally got a closer look at Matthew Morrison as a truly frightening Grinch [1]. Ahead of the live-action special on 8 Dec. (which is actually being filmed in London, the former Glee actor shared his epic transformation into the character, which included prosthetics, makeup, and a whole lot of green paint. Morrison documented the three-and-a-half-hour process and shared it all in a one-minute time-lapse video on his Instagram, and we have to say it's pretty damn fascinating.
As a makeup artist layered on the prosthetics, thick eyebrows, and green fur, the actor sat back in his chair as he munched on snacks and even played a few chords on a ukelele. From the green nose to the furry wig, the precision and accuracy of Morrison's transformation is truly unmatched, and quite possibly may appear in your nightmares.
