Maya Jama Shows Off Her Naturally Curly Hair While on a Luxe Holiday in the Maldives
Maya Jama is having a lovely time holidaying in the Maldives. The BBC Radio 1 presenter is spending some much needed PTO at the idyllic Heritance Aarah five-star hotel with one of her best mates Ellie. For the past couple days, she's been soaking up the sun, downing cocktails, and jamming out to some dancehall tunes by Popcaan, while giving us a look at her gorgeous, naturally wavy-curly hair.
Maya has had quite the award season, making appearances at the NTAs, then the BAFTA Awards, and most recently at the BRIT Awards in the past couple of weeks. She almost always wears her hair pin straight or with gentle Hollywood waves for red carpet appearances, so all that dolling up must put stress on her naturally wavy-curly hair texture. It's so refreshing to see Maya let her hair down and allow her curls to breathe. In her Instagram stories, she credits "the humidity" for enhancing the texture of her lob — but we think the salt water and sun also helped to achieve those perfectly tousled waves.
