Megan Rapinoe's New Magenta Hair Colour Was Inspired by a Bouquet of Flowers

Megan Rapinoe is almost as recognisable for her pink hair as she is for her skills on the football field (keyword: almost), and the athlete just got a major hair colour upgrade. The Reign FC winger and member of the National Women's Football League got a visit from celebrity hairstylist Riawna Capri for a touch-up.
Capri documented the entire colour session on her Instagram Story, transforming Rapinoe's hair from a faded light pink to a vivid magenta hue. The hairstylist even included pictures of the flowers, which appear to be crepe myrtle, that inspired her to create a bright colour. To get the vivid hue, Capri first used Joico Colour Eraser ($8) to strip the hair of any leftover pink. Next, she created the custom hue by blending Joico dyes in orchid, pink, and soft pink until it matched her bouquet.
