Megan Thee Stallion Tried the Thermal Imaging Nail Art Trend

Megan Thee Stallion’s Thermal Imaging-Inspired Manicure Is Her Hottest Set Yet

Megan Thee Stallion is absolutely no stranger to a fun manicure and trying out the latest nail art trends. Proof? She's tried everything from candy nails and the marble manicure to optical illusion designs. Plus, her latest manicure — which she wore for her performance at the 2021 Music Midtown in Atlanta Georgia on 19 Sept. — is at the top of our list when it comes to autumn nail trends we want to try out: thermal imaging nail art.

Created by Megan's longtime manicurist Coca Michelle, who is known for long extensions and intricate art, the rapper's latest set looks like the hues of a thermal imaging camera (you know, the ones you see of the haunted shows on TV).

There are a few ways to achieve this particular trend, though for this one, we don't recommend trying it at home. The first technique is done by painting layers of different colours on top of each other and then carefully using a nail drill to file down and reveal the thermal effect. Another technique (which Megan and her manicurist opted for) involves layering the blue, yellow, red and green shades on top of each other in such a way that once they're fully dried, it resembles the thermal imaging camera effects.
