The rapper, who served as host for the event, started the evening with her red hair slicked back into a chignon — and dramatic winged liner with gorgeous feathery lashes for good measure.

We love the French dancer and choreographer's adorable voluminous pigtails. She captured the process on her Instagram, which included her hairstylist slicking her natural hair into pigtails using Essentiel The Must Have, a French hair wax, and then adding extensions to get the voluminous poofs.

Griff loves a bubble ponytail, and this time she chose to decorate her signature style with a string of pearls that ran between the top and bottom hair elastics. Keeping with the theme, her makeup artist glued a smattering of flat-backed pearls along her left cheek, almost like a 3-dimensional highlighter.

With graphic blue-green eyeliner, the Kiss FM UK presenter and DJ added a tiny splash of colour to her overall white-and-grey ensemble.

Look closely and you'll see that the Polish singer is wearing reflective 3-dimensional silver wings at the outer corners of her eyes, and a sprinkling of iridescent glitter along her top and bottom lashes.

Love it or hate it, the mullet has been one of 2021's most unexpected hairstyle trends, which Brazilian singer-songwriter Manu Gavassi pulled off beautifully in a warm copper colour.

When it comes to smoky eye makeup, Måneskin never disappoints, and the MTV EMAs were no different. For bassist Victoria De Angelis, the band's makeup artist Chantal Ciaffardini executed dramatic black wings with matte brown shadow that filled in the space between the top of the wings and her brows. Look closely and you can see some flecks of glitter across her lids.

Ciaffardini appeared to use the same gold-flecked black shadow on the brand's drummer, Ethan Torchio. The hint of shimmer gives the onyx pigment almost a wet look.

The same shimmery black shadow was used on guitarist Thomas Raggi, and matched his diamond-printed top perfectly.

Alexander has rocked this shade of orange for a while now, but we love how it perfectly coordinated with his colourful sheer dress.
