Odele’s Hydrating Leave-In Detangling Tonic Makes Blow Drying My Hair More Manageable

I have thick, frizzy hair that gets tangled quite easily. It gets worse when I blow-dry my hair. The heat and humidity create the perfect storm for new knots and tangles. I usually overcompensate for my hair's unruly behaviour by using thick leave-in conditioners that end up weighing my hair down and making my ends look flat and greasy. It's not a pretty look, and the process is a whole hot mess. I got my hands on Odele's Leave-In Detangling Tonic, which is supposed to infuse my hair with lightweight hydration while making it more manageable — and that it does! It's a multitasking leave-in that helps nourish the hair while protecting it from tangles and heat damage. Keep reading for my in-depth review.

Odele Leave-in Detangling Tonic

After towel drying my hair, I sprayed the Odele Leave-in Detangling Tonic ($15) into the palms of my hands and apply the product to the ends first, and work my way up. Unfortunately, the spray nozzle is not ideal for direct application onto your hair, but that wasn't a big deal for me. To make the detangling process easier, I ran my fingers through my hair to distribute the product and then used a comb to evenly spread it out. By that point, the comb easily glides through my hair with maybe one or two snags.

Odele Leave-in Detangling Tonic

The Odele Leave-in Detangling Tonic ($15) has a milky yet lightweight texture that immediately absorbs into my hair, almost like my strands were drinking it up. My hair felt nourished and hydrated but not weighed down. I noticed that my hair was much easier to blow dry as well. I didn't have a single knot or snag that I had to worry about, making it more manageable to maneuver and section off, regardless of the heat and humidity. The Leave-in Detangling Tonic even reduced and tamed my frizz while the ends of my hair still maintained movement and bounce.
