Olay Launches Regenerist Whip Moisturiser Refill Pods Trial

Olay Launches Trial of Moisturiser Refill Pods in a Bid to Find More Sustainable Solutions

In an effort to become more sustainable and help the environment, Olay has announced it will be launching a trial run of refillable moisturiser pods.

It was announced back in June that the major beauty brand would be making changes and doing their bit for sustainability within the industry, starting with its bestselling Regenerist Whip Moisturiser. As of now, you can buy a refillable pod along with a jar of Olay's Regenerist Whip Moisturiser with the intension of reducing the waste of two jars, which the brand claims eliminates plastic waste by 94 percent.

"Our goal is to find and adopt many more sustainable beauty packaging solutions, and Olay's refillable package is just the first step. We're on a journey when it comes to helping make beauty more sustainable and we've certainly made progress, but there's lots more we can, and are doing, to help us all reduce our impact on the planet," said Katharine Newby Grant, vice president for P&G Northern Europe in a statement.

What's more, with every Olay Regenerist Whip Moisturiser Refill, the brand will donate £5 of profits to Young Women's Trust, a UK-based feminist organisation "working to achieve economic justice for young women."

Unfortunately at the moment, you can only buy one refill pod for every jar of moisturiser. Hopefully if the trial is successful, refill pods will be available for purchase as a standalone product without the extra jar.

The Olay Regenerist Whip Refill Pod (£25) is now available exclusively on Amazon.co.uk
