Olivia Wilde [2] is in her "French-girl" era. On 21 March, the actor's hairstylist Mara Roszak [3] posted a picture of the star on Instagram with a very different look. On full display was her new curtain fringe [4].
Roszak shared the inspiration behind the haircut [5] in her post with a caption that read, in part, "OLIVIA with what I call a "French girl bang." As it turns out, the idea for the bangs [6] came from Roszak who had texted Wilde pictures of potential options until they landed on one that the star liked. "These 'French-girl bangs' are incredibly easy to wear and are universally flattering," Roszak tells POPSUGAR. "They start at the eye and then are blended into a cheekbone length with a layer forming around the jaw to give a sculpted shape."
To give the bangs that flowy, retro feel, Rozak first used the Rōz Santa Lucia Styling Oil to smooth Wilde's hair. After applying a soon-to-be-launched product on her ends, Rozak finished the look by giving the star a blowout. "I took an Ibiza Medium Boar Bristle Round Brush [7] (£31), placed the hair on top, and blow dried from root to tip with the Bio Ionic Blow Dryer [8] (£139) for a soft, easy finish."
