Pink, Queen of Edgy Hairstyles, Just Got a Badass Buzzcut
Pink has been serving up short hair inspoiration for as long as we can remember, but she just debuted one of her shortest styles yet: an all-over buzzcut. The 40-year-old singer and mother of two showed off her edgy, new look on Thursday by sharing an Instagram photo of her shaven head and simply captioning it "Letting Go." Before this, Pink rocked a style that was short on the sides and longer on top, and it looks like her family and friends are digging the cut. Pink's husband, Carey Hart, commented on her 'gram with "Love it!!!!!!!!!" while Kate Hudson, who snipped her hair into a pixie cut last January, added, "The most liberating! 🙌❤️"
Pink's latest hair switch-up comes just three months after her 8-year-old daughter, Willow Hart, shaved the left side of her head, thus proving to be the most badass kiddo on the planet. Back at the 2017 MTV VMAs, Pink used her Video Vanguard Award acceptance speech as an opportunity to explain why she won't grow out her hair. She shared that Willow told her, "I am the ugliest girl I know" and "I look like a boy with long hair." Pink responded with some empowering words of wisdom.
"Do you see me growing my hair? Do you see me changing my body?" she asked. Her daughter said no. "Do you see me selling out arenas worldwide?" Her daughter said yes. "We don't change. We take the gravel and the shell and we make a pearl," Pink continued. "We help other people to change so that they can see more kinds of beauty." Amen to that.
