The cutest collaboration of 2022 has landed. Introducing: Pixi's collaboration with Hello Kitty. The London-born skin-care and makeup brand has joined forces with Sanrio, the Japanese company behind Hello Kitty. With this partnership, you can expect to find Pixi's iconic mint green and golden hued packaging with a Hello Kitty silhouette and emblazoned with kitty-themed bows.

"I had such nostalgic memories of Hello Kitty from my childhood", Pixi founder Petra Strand told POPSUGAR. "There are definitely elements that really resonated with Pixi [with the collaboration]. Both Hello Kitty and Pixi have London origins, they are both ageless in the respect that they appeal to all ages, and both have a very loyal following."

The collection features four skin-care products and five makeup products. These include, the A For Apples Sheet Mask (£10 for pack of 3), Anywhere Patches (£22, contains 90 patches), Glow Tonic (£10), Makeup Fixing Mist (£16), Chrome Glow Palette (£18), Hello Glow-y Powder (£14), Eye Effects (£22), Endless Silky Eye Pen in London Fog (£12), and Lip Tone (£8). They've even added some exclusive gift sets just in time for Christmas, with some products available in new and exclusive shades.

The process of creating the products was just as special as the final results, Strand explained. "I was given access to the Hello Kitty archives and was able to draw inspiration directly from the colours used and the imagery from the vintage Hello Kitty aesthetic," Strand said. "What was really touching was the messaging of kindness and also a commitment to friendship, which I thought was such an important message," she added. From the get-go, the collaboration was well thought out, too. "I incorporated Hello Kitty's love for apples by using that as a key ingredient in the skin care. I feel that the collection is such a wonderful fusion of Hello Kitty & Pixi, and we have been calling it 'When Bow meets Glow'".

When it comes to using the products, we called in the help of makeup artist and Pixi's global head of artistry Amanda Bell for some top tips. Now, anyone who gets the pleasure of meeting Bell will know that she's a huge Hello Kitty fan and a major cat-lover, making this collaboration even more of a perfect fit. "The whole collection is so special to me as I am a huge fan of Hello Kitty, and there are so many beautiful details across the entire collection that I am just enamoured with," Bell told POPSUGAR. Particularly in love with the sheet mask and Lip Tone, Bell said that the Lip Tone is super innovative as a balm/gloss hybrid. "It's really sumptuous and moisturising and also has PH-adaptive pigment that leaves the lips with the most beautiful rosy pink hue."

As for the Eye Effects Eyeshadow Palette, Bell said that if you're a little scared of colour, "use sweeping motions with a looser fluffy eye brush for more of a veil of colour and a smaller headed brush with denser hairs for more intensity." If you're looking to really get creative, "you can use the deeper shades from the palette as a liquid shadow by saturating a makeup brush with a little bit of Pixi's Makeup Fixing Mist (which has had the most gorgeous Hello Kitty make over, too!).
