Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have been the talk of the internet thanks to their latest outing in New York City last week, but as some of us sat back and admired the singer's sexy, all-pink ensemble for the night — fuzzy bucket hat and all — other eagle-eyed fans noticed something else that was quite . . . different . . . about her. Upon closer inspection of her left ankle, it appears that Rihanna has covered up the camouflage shark tattoo that she got with Drake (who has the same design on his arm) a few years ago when the artists dated.

In place of the shark, the beauty mogul now has a crown. According to E! News, Rihanna went to New York City's Bang Bang tattoo studio for the original tattoo. It was meant to be a reference to one of her dates with Drake, during which the rapper took her to an aquarium in Toronto and bought her a toy shark. They got the matching ink back in 2016, though it's not clear exactly when Rihanna made the decision to cover hers up.

Still, fans are obviously losing it over the new discovery. "Rihanna covered up the matching tattoo she had with drake lmao don't nobody feel my pain i promise," one person wrote on Twitter. "Rihanna covered the shark tattoo.... I know Drake somewhere out there bawling his eyes out," wrote another. Read ahead to check out a few more, uh, interesting reactions to Rihanna's new piece of ink.
