Rita Ora is sticking with the classics. On 11 Oct., the singer showed off her milky french manicure [2] in a picture on Instagram, proving the nail trend [3] is here to stay for a little while longer.

Ora's nails were filed into a short square shape [4], and a milky-pink colour was used as the base. A thin "smile line" using white nail polish [5] was painted along the edge of each nail, and a clear topcoat was added for shine. Ora's use of a cloudy-pink base, as opposed to the sheer pink that's typically used for french manicures, finds her look at the intersection of another popular nail trend: milk-bath nails [6]. Ora has worn the traditional version of the manicure [7] before, so it comes as no surprise that she's finding new ways to experiment with the trend.

French manicures [8] were a red carpet staple during awards season, and since then, we've seen the nail design transform again and again.
