Sally Hansen Just Launched Its First Nail Polish Line in Years, and It Was Worth the Wait

2019 was a big year for my beauty routine. I slowly, but consciously, made the decision to incorporate cleaner products into my routine — something that required a lot of researching, and for my pits, detoxing. But one area that had yet to be affected by my clean-sweep? My weekly manicure appointments. Call me high-maintenance, but there was something about my little nail salon ritual that I couldn't kick, even knowing that it wasn't aligned with my new clean-beauty initiative [1]. Yup, the entire line — 30 shades to be exact — of clean nail polish is formulated with plant-based, 100 percent vegan ingredients. The shades are appropriately inspired by nature. Neutral Earthy tones and natural pops of colour, there is literally a shade for every season. (I'll be rocking Meteorite [3] this Thanksgiving!) The packageing also include a new plant-based brush, which is optimised to work with the new formula.

And while that's all fine and dandy, what about performance? Well, for the same reason I love Sally Hansen's Salon Perfect line for my at-home manicures, Good.Kind.Pure. makes giving yourself a good manicure at home easy. Two coats, no base coat, and nails looks heal their and stronger. The new line includes a Hardener [4] to improve the look of ridges and seal fragile nails to protect against breaking, cracking and splitting.
