Selena Gomez went through quite the journey to get her new ear piercing [3]. Earlier this week, the Only Murders in the Building [4] star enjoyed dinner with a few friends (members of the band Girlpool), when the group decided to take a spur-of-the-moment trip to a Build-a-Bear store shortly after. According to a TikTok shared on 15 Sept., the group headed to the mall after dinner, but their mission to find Build-a-Bear fell flat since they got there 30 minutes before closing time, so they decided to do the next best thing: get piercings.

In the video, Gomez can be seen in a tattoo parlor talking through piercing options before it cuts to her sitting in the chair getting a piercing in her ear. By the end of the clip, she shows off her helix piercing [5] and her new hoop. They may not have gone home with freshly stuffed animals, but we'd say a brand-new piece of body art is a fun (albeit unexpected) substitution.
