Let me paint a picture for you: I had a destination wedding to attend, which means I had to do my own makeup, and I could not do my own makeup. Before you wax poetic on the virtues of YouTube tutorials, I've been there, done that. It's just not in my wheelhouse; my smoky eye always looks like a raccoon, and I have accepted that about myself. I can make myself look relatively presentable, but for a wedding that's meant to go all night long, well, forget about it. As someone who barely has a working knowledge of makeup, this has changed my routine because it's so easy to use. Now, I actually feel excited to wear foundation because I know it's not going to look like a streaky mess. It has given me (a little) more confidence to play around with my look, which is something I want to continue to do in 2020. But seriously, the world of makeup and makeup brushes can be confusing, and if you're like me, you need the multitasker. It also now comes in a compact version, so you can take it on the go. Thank me later.
