Simone Biles took home the bronze medal after returning to the Tokyo Olympics to compete in the beam final on 3 Aug., and while her epic routine is what obviously deserves the most attention here, there was also one tiny detail we couldn't help but call out: her Olympics-themed nail art. The gymnast competed in the event wearing a double french manicure design with traditional white tips outlined on each finger by red, yellow, blue, green, and black — aka the five colours featured in the Olympics logo.

Biles is one of many athletes who have been freely expressing themselves at the Olympics through colourful hairstyles, makeup looks, and nail art. Her teammate Sunisa Lee, for example, took home the gold medal in the women's artistic gymnastics all-around competition last week long wearing acrylic nails that were painted with the Olympics logo . . . just in case we needed any more proof that it's possible to be taken seriously as an Olympian (and win) even if you choose to wear bright and bold beauty looks.

Get a closer look at Biles's award-worthy manicure ahead.
