This week, Superdrug launched its own affordable cloth face masks available to buy online and in store. Ahead of reopening all of their branches, Superdrug wanted to offer customers the option of a reusable mask (with an affordable price tag), so that they feel comfortable to browse their stores whilst keeping themselves and staff safe.

The high street chain already offers disposable, nonmedical grade face masks online and in store; however, Superdrug wanted to provide customers with a reusable option. "The launch coincides with government guidelines on the compulsory wearing of face coverings on public transport, which we fully support, and these reusable coverings offer an alternative to the disposable surgical masks we already have available in store," says Simon Comins, Superdrug's commercial director.

The new face masks cost just £3 but feature three-layered fabric technology, which is water-repellent and certified antibacterial with a biocide finishing. The middle layer has a 3D interlock fabric, which promises to significantly reduce particle transfer, while also being breathable. The stretchy material moulds to the wearers face for maximum protection and comfort. The masks come in three simple colours: black, pink, and white.

The masks are machine washable with the promise of no deterioration from frequent washing. They can also be ironed to ensure they fit your face perfectly with each wear. Shop the new Superdrug face coverings, ahead.

The Superdrug fabric face coverings are available online and in store for £3.
