I am a beauty and skin-care minimalist; I have very sensitive skin, and have been dealing with some redness and irritation in the last couple of months, so any new product I try has to be very intentional. My general morning routine is cleanser, serum, moisturiser, and sunscreen. I feel like I've tried so many different sunblocks, and have a few requirements: It can't be too matte, as I like my skin to look dewy and glowy. It can't pill, which happens often, and it can't be too thick, which can feel like a film on the skin. I have a couple of products I like, but my new favourite is, hands down, the Tower 28 SunnyDays SPF 30 Tinted Sunscreen Foundation ($30).

When I first heard about this product, I was intrigued, in large part because it was said to be formulated for sensitive skin, and is actually the first complexion product with the National Eczema Association's Seal of Acceptance. As someone who has both eczema and sensitive skin, this was a promising green light. There are 14 shades, and the product has light coverage if you're applying with your fingers, but medium coverage if you choose to use a beauty sponge or brush. It also feels like applying a serum; it's super thin in consistency. Plus, the packageing is not only adorable, it's also made of 60 percent recycled plastic. (Every step toward better recycling practices counts.)

All this is great, but the best part is the product actually works. It doesn't irritate mu skin, which is priority number one, nor does it make me break out or clog my pores. It also gives the most natural-looking light coverage; I apply it with my fingers, and feel like I have filtered skin. It lasts all day, blends well with the rest of my makeup, and is something I genuinely look forward to applying every morning. Plus, it's not a product that just happens to have sunscreen formulated in it, it's meant to be a sunscreen, and the SPF 30 is perfect for everyday use. Consider me a fan.
