Tracee Ellis Ross [2] is already starting to provide us with fall hair inspiration [3], and the summer isn't even over yet. Ross's hairstylist, Nai'vasha Johnson [4], posted a behind-the-scenes look at Ross's glam for a Pattern Beauty photo shoot, and her Bantu knots [5] sealed the deal on the eye-catching look.
Ross kept the knots on the larger side, with only three in the front of her head and a few more in the back. The Bantu knots were also accompanied by another of Ross's signature hair details: perfectly styled baby hairs. Though Ross wore the look for editorial purposes, Bantu knots are a fantastic protective style [6] that can be worn year-round. Not only do they serve as a bold beauty choice, but they also double as an easy heatless curling method [7], giving you two hairstyles in one — a win-win.
This isn't the first time that Ross has worn this hairstyle. She previously wore the look both on the red carpet and while casually relaxing at home.
