Adele has spent the Summer taking time for herself after separating from husband Simon Konecki [3]. On Aug. 11, the 31-year-old singer showed her Instagram followers what she's been up to since she last posted in June. She shared a gallery of photos from a handful of outdoor expeditions with friends, including rock climbing, hiking, and sitting around a campfire. Other snapshots feature the Grammy winner [4] whipping her hair around, relaxing in a boat, and taking a dip in the water. "Summer 2019," she captioned the post.
Her return to the 'Gram comes nearly two months after she posted about uniting with the Spice Girls [5] and four months after she and Simon split. In April, the couple — who shares 6-year-old son Angelo — confirmed that they decided to part ways after two years of marriage, but will continue to raise their child together.
The following month, Adele seemingly addressed the separation [6] in a birthday post, writing, "31 is going to be a big ol' year and I'm going to spend it all on myself. For the first time in a decade I'm ready to feel the world around me and look up for once." She then encouraged her fans to embrace self-love and enjoy life. "Be kind to yourself people we're only human, go slow, put your phone down and laugh out loud at every opportunity," she continued. "Learning to REALLY truly love yourself is it, and I've only just realised that that is more than enough."
