On May 22, 2017 Ariana Grande was performing in Manchester, England, when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device that left 23 people dead and over a hundred more injured. Shortly after the attack, Ariana spoke out on Twitter, went to visit fans in the hospital, and honoured the victims with a star-studded benefit concert. Now, exactly one year later, the 24-year-old singer has once again taken to Twitter to let her fans know how she's feeling.

"Thinking of you all today and every day. I love you with all of me and am sending you all of the light and warmth I have to offer on this challenging day," she wrote.

In an interview with Time, Ariana revealed the Manchester bee actually inspired the title of her new album, Sweetener. "When you're handed a challenge, instead of sitting there and complaining about it, why not try to make something beautiful?"
