Beyoncé paid homage to cultural icon Rosie the Riveter in an amazing photo posted to Instagram on Tuesday. She didn't caption the snap — mostly because it speaks for itself — but it's safe to say that the singer was feeling even more flawless than usual when she shared it. Rosie the Riveter's image has been used as a symbol of feminism since the 1940s, representing the American women who worked in factories during World War II (many of whom produced war supplies). Beyoncé herself has been very vocal about identifying as a feminist, most recently in the April issue of Out magazine, where she said, "The old lessons of submissiveness and fragility made us victims. Women are so much more than that. You can be a businesswoman, a mother, an artist, and a feminist — whatever you want to be — and still be a sexual being. It's not mutually exclusive."
