Bindi told Entertainment Tonight that she plans on getting married at the Australia Zoo [2], which her family owns, because that's where she feels closest to her dad. "Having the wedding here at Australia Zoo, that's what means the most with my family. It'll be really special," she said, adding, "I'm excited, I'm really excited!"
Bindi Wants Her Brother to Walk Her Down the Aisle
Bindi expressed that she really wants her younger brother, Robert, to walk her down the aisle [3] on her wedding day. "I'm always so grateful that Robert is there, and he has been such a big part of my life and he's always stepped up and been the one to give me a hug when I need it and encourage me forward in life," Bindi told ET. "So he will definitely be the one to walk me down the aisle when the time comes, and I think that will make it really special. And I think that's what dad would have wanted as well."
The Ceremony Will Pay Tribute to Bindi's Late Father, Steve Irwin
In addition to having her wedding at her family's zoo, Bindi told ET that she also plans to honour her father, Steve, during the ceremony [4].
