• 2005: Blake and Miranda first met in passing in 2005 [5] before being paired together to sing David Frizzell and Shelly West's hit "You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma" at the 2005 CMT 100 Greatest Duets special. Their chemistry was undeniable [6], but Blake was married, and the two were just friends. "I've never had that kind of experience with anybody," Blake told VH1's Behind the Music at a later date. "I was a married guy, you know? Looking back on that, I was falling in love with her, right there on stage."
• 2006: The country singers began their romance in 2006 after Blake divorced his first wife, Kaynette Williams, in February of that year. The couple kept their romance out of the limelight in the beginning and kept themselves busy on the road, only starting to really date after the divorce was official.
• 2007: The couple made their public debut as a couple at the CMT Music Awards in Spring 2007.

• February 2008: Blake rereleased his album Pure BS with three bonus tracks, marking the first time the singers collaborated together as a couple. Blake recorded the Michael Bublé song "Home" and had Miranda in on backing vocals. The result was a massive hit.
• October 2008: Beginning in October of 2008, the "Vice" singer paired up with her boyfriend for the duo's first joint tour [7]. They went all over the United States, wrapping the tour in Dallas in November of that year, and it was just the first of many tours together. "I learned a lot watching her on stage every night," Blake told Redbook magazine about the duo's first tour together. "I've been doing this much longer, and it used to be, 'You just listen to me.' But damn, this is a girl who steps out on stage and has complete control of the audience. It's pure artistry."
• November 2008: Not only did these two tour together in 2008, but they released their second collaboration track as well called "Bear Skin Rug." It was featured on Blake's Startin' Fires album and was cowritten by the pair.
• 2009: In 2009, Miranda released her album Revolution, which featured three more cowrites by the happy couple. The songs off that album from Miranda and Blake were "Me and Your Cigarettes," "Love Song," and "Sin For a Sin."

• May 2010: Blake proposed to Miranda on May 9, 2010, after asking her father for his blessing [8]. "I fumbled it up a little," Blake told Us Weekly about his proposal. "It's funny how you rehearse those things and go over what you want to say, but I probably screwed it up." Miranda described the excitement of being engaged [9] to Blake to People at the time, saying, "Weddings are great and engagements are great, and diamonds are especially great, but I'm just excited to be married because I want to tell Blake I really can love him the rest of my life and be happy and make him happy."
• May 2011: A year after getting engaged, the country cuties tied the knot in Boerne, TX [10]. According to Us Weekly, Ashley Monroe sang "Makin' Plans" as Miranda walked down the aisle, and Blake later performed "Let's Grow Old Together" for his bride.
• July 2011: After saying "I do" earlier that Spring, the "Honey Bee" singer released his sixth studio album, Red River Blue, in July. The album featured his new wife on the title track and gave Blake four No. 1 singles.
• November 2011: Miranda followed in her husband's footsteps in 2011 by releasing her own album, Four the Record, in the Fall. The song "Over You" was another cowrite credited to Miranda and Blake and led to two major award wins for Miranda.
• 2011: Blake became a coach on The Voice, which brought his life to Los Angeles in addition to spending time touring and being back home in Oklahoma with Miranda. Throughout his time on the NBC series [11], Miranda made time to appear as his team's mentor and give performances on the show.

• February 2012: The country couple took their duets to the next level by performing "America the Beautiful" at Super Bowl XLVI [12] together. Their harmonies were amazing and made country fans everywhere swoon.
• April 2013: Rumors that the couple were having issues began to surface, but the "Highway Vagabond" singer shut them down. "Divorce is not an option," Miranda told reporters backstage [13], via Rolling Stone, at the ACM Awards that year.
• April 2014: Miranda talked to People about the couple's normal relationship [14], saying, "we live in the middle of nowhere and have a totally different life away from work." She revealed that even though they have glamorous careers as a couple, "We do things we sing about in our songs — go four-wheeling, we back-road, we fish, we eat at my mother-in-law's at least twice a week."
• October 2014: Rumors were still flying that the couple's relationship was in trouble, so Blake took to Twitter [15] to voice his annoyances with the chatter. "Maybe because the divorce rate is so high the tabloids have just decided to play the odds with me and Miranda. Morons . . . #eatad*ck," he wrote at the time.

• March 2015: Blake showed up at Miranda's concert in Wichita, KS, surprising fans and stealing a kiss from his wife on stage. The two performed a stripped-down version of "God Gave Me You."
• July 2015: The couple officially called it quits and broke off their marriage once and for all. Their divorce came 10 years after meeting and four years after getting married. "This is not the future we envisioned," they wrote in a joint statement [16] at the time. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends, and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."

2018

• 2018: Blake has been dating Gwen Stefani [17] since 2015. Miranda began dating fellow musician Anderson East in 2015, but called it quits in April 2018.
• April 15, 2018: Miranda won the Academy of Country Music Awards' female vocalist of the year for the ninth consecutive year [18] for her album The Weight of These Wings, making ACM Awards history, and song of the year for "Tin Man," both inspired by her breakup from Blake [19].
