Hollywood Heavyweights Light Up the Palm Springs Film Festival
A-listers brought a high dose of glamour to the California desert at the awards gala at the 25th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival on Saturday. Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, and Sandra Bullock are just some of the stars who hit the red carpet amid the fanfare and excitement.
Meryl, Sandra, and Matthew McConaughey took center stage to receive awards for their work, while Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor, Jane Fonda, and other actors presented the festival's highest honors to their colleagues. Julia hit the stage twice — first to accept the spotlight award for her work on August: Osage County and later to present Tom Hanks with the chairman's award for his performances in Captain Phillips and Saving Mr. Banks. In what was a highlight of the night, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, and Jeremy Renner accepted the ensemble award for their '70s-era crime film, American Hustle.
