Celine Dion's Sons Join Her on Stage For an Emotional Tribute to Her Late Husband

Celine Dion and Her Kids at Final Las Vegas Residency Show

After 16 years and 1,141 shows, Celine Dion's Las Vegas residency has come to an end. On Saturday, the legendary 51-year-old singer performed her last concert at Caesars Palace's Colosseum, and it was emotional, to say the least. In addition to debuting her new song "Flying on My Own," Celine paid tribute to her late husband, René Angélil. While singing a cover of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," a photo of her and René was shown on the screen and her three sons — René-Charles, 18, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 8 — then got up on stage with her.

"I'm both proud and humbled by what we've accomplished at the Colosseum since we began 16 years ago when René and I first shared this dream. This entire experience has been a huge part of my show business career, one that I will cherish forever," she said. "I have so many people to thank, but the most important 'thank you' goes to my fans, who gave us the opportunity to do what we love."

Celine first met René in 1980 when she was 12 and he was 38. The Canadian music producer served as her mentor and manager for seven years before their relationship turned romantic. They eventually got married in December 1994 and later became parents to their three beautiful sons. Sadly, René's life was cut short in January 2016 when he lost his courageous battle with cancer, but his memory lives on in the hearts of his family.
