Early reactions [1] to and reviews of Marvel's Black Panther [2] have been overwhelmingly positive [3] thus far, and part of the reason so many fans — especially people of color [4] — have been eager to see the film is the fact that the movie features an all-black cast [5] and highlights the importance of representation [6] on the big screen.

Chadwick Boseman, who plays the feline-suited superhero [7] in the movie, sat down with the rest of his castmates [8] for a town hall special with SiriusXM recently and got emotional while discussing the impact of the film [9] on the younger generation. The 41-year-old actor [10] opened up about two cancer-stricken patients who were excited about seeing the movie come to life. "Their parents said, 'They're trying to hold on till this movie comes,'" he shared.

Chadwick recalled how hearing their stories motivated him to work even harder to make sure Black Panther [11] was special.
