Thomas Markle Reveals the Code Name Meghan Asked Him to Use For Harry, and It's Surprisingly Simple

In an interview with Good Morning Britain, Thomas Markle opened up about staging those paparazzi pictures, revealed how Meghan told him who she was dating, and let us in on the secret "code name" she asked her dad to use before the engagement was announced.

Thomas told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid that Meghan announced her new boyfriend with a series of phone calls revealing details each time. The first call Meghan said "Daddy, I have a new boyfriend", the following call she revealed "he's British", then the third call the duchess told her father "he's a Prince. . . it's Harry." But as it wasn't yet publicly announced, Meghan told Thomas, "of course we'll have to call him "H" so no one knows we're talking about him." Not long after that, the couple called Thomas together and Prince Harry asked permission to marry Meghan, which her father replied "you're a gentleman, promise me you will never raise your hand against my daughter and of course I will grant you my permission."

However this code name wasn't completely effective: back in December 2016 Meghan stepped out wearing an "M" and "H" necklace sending the public's detective skills into overdrive. It really didn't take a genius to work out what was going on, and who her new love was!
