Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart are known for their fan-favourite romance as Jughead and Betty on Riverdale, but they stay pretty tight-lipped about the state of their offscreen relationship. While the pair was spotted showing PDA in Hawaii earlier this year and have shared a handful of sweet moments on social media, they make a point not to talk about their romance publicly. Which made their recent appearance together incredibly awkward. During Riverdale's panel at Paley Fest, a bold fan asked point-blank if Lili and Cole were an item.

While the two looked visibly embarrassed by the question, it was their costars' reactions that really made the whole thing super cringe-worthy. KJ Apa (Archie) and Camilla Mendes (Veronica) tried their best to laugh it off, but Madelaine Petsch (Cheryl) couldn't help but whisper to Marisol Nichols (Hermione) that it was "such an inappropriate question."
