Meghan Markle's Pal Cries as He Defends Her: "She Doesn't Deserve All This Negative Press"

Meghan Markle has been the target of negative press since she married Prince Harry and became a part of the royal family, and her friends are coming to her defence. Ahead of the premiere of the CBS special Meghan and Harry Plus One, Meghan's pal and celebrity makeup artist Daniel Martin shot down reports that Meghan is "ostentatious" and "difficult" in a sneak peek interview with Gayle King. "She's still Meghan to me," Daniel said while shedding tears. "I know her so well, and she doesn't deserve all this negative press."

True Blood's Janina Gavankar and Jessica Alba also make appearances and refer to Meghan as "a beacon of hope for a lot of women out there." Of course, this isn't the first time the duchess's pals have had her back. George Clooney has stood up for Meghan several times, and back in February, five women who are part of her inner circle talked to People in an effort to "stand up against the global bullying" they were seeing.

Meghan and Harry Plus One airs this Friday on CBS.
