Things are going well for Demi Lovato! On Friday, the 26-year-old singer and actress revealed that she's celebrating six months of sobriety after she suffered a scary overdose back in July. Demi shared the uplifting news on Instagram, posting a couple photos of her celebration. One snapshot features a giant piece of cake with a note that reads "Happy 6 mo. We are so f*cking proud of you! Love, Team DL." The Confident singer then captioned the picture "Best day ever." In another photo, Demi proudly showcases her blue "6 months" sobriety chip.

Since her overdose, Demi has been making great strides to improve her health. She vowed to continue fighting against addiction and received treatment at a rehab facility for about 90 days. Following rehab, she even made sure to get out and vote during the November midterm elections.

Demi has previously discussed her struggles with alcohol and drugs. Her 2017 documentary, Simply Complicated, delves into her addiction issues and her personal journey through coping with those concerns. In March 2018, she broke down crying during a concert and talked about why she's so up front about her struggles, telling the crowd, "The reason why I became so open about my story is because I know that there are people here tonight that need to ask for help, and I want them to know that it's OK. Mental health is something that we all need to talk about and we need to take the stigma away from it. So let's raise the awareness."

We're glad to know that Demi is doing much better, and we're looking forward to seeing all her future accomplishments. View her sobriety celebration photos ahead!
