Downton Abbey's Finest Celebrate With BAFTA
Cast members old and new celebrated the success of Downton Abbey on Tuesday night with a lavish red carpet event at the Richmond Theatre in South West London. The likes of Dan Stevens, Michelle Dockery, Lily James, and Dame Maggie Smith were joined by famous friends for the BAFTA-hosted event, which comes ahead of the end of the show later this year. The cast was presented with a special BAFTA Award to celebrate the ongoing success of the ITV period drama, which has won a host of awards over its five series, including multiple Golden Globe and Emmy Awards. Series 6 will air in September, with the final episode scheduled for Christmas Day. The good news for fans? Writer and creator Julian Fellowes hasn't ruled out a possible film in the future. We're already crossing our fingers he finds a way to make Matthew return from the dead!
