Drake Celebrating Toronto Raptors Winning NBA Finals

We've Truly Never Seen Drake as Happy as When the Raptors Won the NBA Finals

They did it! The Toronto Raptors won their first-ever NBA Championship on Thursday, and Drake could not have been happier. After closing out the series against the Golden State Warriors in Oakland, CA, back home, the city of Toronto was exploding with celebrations, confetti, and champagne, and the Raptors' biggest hype man was at the centre of it all. Despite not attending the historic Game 6, Drake was situated outside the Toronto arena watching the game with all the Raptors fans. The Canadian rapper popped champagne, screamed at the top of his lungs, and had the Raptors' championship merchandise on standby for his group of friends. (Even Warriors star Steph Curry was shocked that Drake had the official championship hat so soon!)

Drake made headlines this postseason after his incessant trolling of opposing players and when he got way too involved in the games, but it's incredible to see the Raptors getting their first championship in franchise history, and we can't blame Drake for his exhilarating reaction. Following the Raptors' win, Drake announced that he's releasing two new songs to celebrate the team's victory! He did interviews with the media after the game and posted a photoshopped photo of him with the Larry O'Brien championship trophy. Check out Drake celebrating the Raptors win in the NBA Finals ahead, and congratulations to the team and the city of Toronto.
