There's nothing quite like a mother's love, and I'm pretty sure Dwayne Johnson can agree. The 47-year-old actor shares a one-of-a-kind bond with his mom [1], Ata, and they often give us glimpses of it at The Rock's movie premieres, award shows, and on social media. In fact, this past Christmas Dwayne surprised his mom with a brand-new home [2].

"All our lives growing up we lived in little apartments all across the country. Lived like gypsies on the road from one state to another . . . since then I always made sure my mom and dad have everything they'll ever need," he explained on Instagram. "I always say, if you got a good mama, then you gotta pretty good shot at becoming a decent human being. And somehow, somewhere along the line, I became one lucky SOB to be able to make stuff like this happen."

Now Dwayne may look like a total tough guy [3] on the outside, but he's clearly just one big softie at heart.
