Eddie Redmayne On Playing Rugby With Prince William: "I Always Felt a Bit Sorry For Him"

Eddie Redmayne certainly has a royal past. Not only does the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald actor go way back with Meghan Markle, but he used attend school with Prince William too. While filming Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday evening, the actor revealed he actually used to play rugby with the prince. "I always felt a bit sorry for him" Eddie explained, humourously adding "basically, any school you played, all they wanted to do was tackle Prince William." I mean, who wouldn't, right?

Later in the show, Eddie proved his royal experience did not end there. In fact, he playfully shared an anecdote about the string quartet playing during his experience receiving an OBE from the Queen. "Just as I was about to go in, you think it's classical music, and I suddenly heard them playing Coldplay," adding "I think it was "When I [Sic] Rule the World" and I was like, 'that's appropriate'."
