Elton John Mispronounced Ed Sheeran's Name at the Brit Awards, and Twitter Is Having a Field Day
Ed Sheeran was one of the big winners during the 2018 Brit Awards. After showing his support for the Time's Up Campaign on the red carpet, the British singer made his way into the O2 where he was awarded with the Global Success Award. For the occasion, his good friend Elton John prerecorded a sweet video, but things took an awkward turn when the "Tiny Dancer" singer pronounced Ed's surname in a very strange way. Of course, Twitter users had a field day with Elton's blunder, and we don't know what's funniest: the fact that it isn't the first time something like this has happened, or the fact that no one seems to agree on how Elton actually pronounced "Sheeran."
