Emma Stone [1] is the latest actress to brilliantly call out this award season's lack of female-nominated directors. Seemingly taking a page out of Natalie Portman's book [2], the Oscar winner made a jab at the Academy when she presented the nominees for best director [3]. "These four men and Greta Gerwig created their own masterpieces this year," she told the crowd. Even though the Lady Bird director didn't end up taking home the award [4] (it went to Shape of Water's Guillermo del Toro instead), we can't help but applaud Emma for throwing shade at Hollywood's sexism.
