Priyanka Chopra Reveals She Was in a "Tumultuous Relationship" When Nick Jonas First Slid Into Her DMs

Sometimes, all it takes is the right friend! That's an important relationship lesson from Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas [1], who were connected by a mutual pal. When the 30-year-old singer stopped by "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon [2]" in September 2018, Jonas revealed exactly how they met, and how their friendship turned romantic. "We met through a friend," Jonas explained. "We got connected first over text and we started talking for a while and it was about six months before we met up in person. Then we actually attended the Met Gala a few years ago together . . . but our lives were kind of taking us different places."

Interviewers and people in their private circle would ask if they were seeing each other, and the couple would dispel those rumours. "People thought we were being coy, and so did we, until we cut to now we're engaged, so the story sort of wrote itself," he said. "It was kind of immediate," Jonas said of their chemistry. "I think we just knew it was right and jumped right in, and we're very happy."
