J.K. Rowling Pub in Edinburgh

You Only Have 1 Month to Check This J.K. Rowling Pub Off Your Harry Potter Bucket List

Calling all Potterheads with news worthy of The Daily Prophet's front page! There's officially a pub inspired by our favourite author: The J.K. Rowling in Edinburgh. Usually decked out as "The Conan Doyle" (inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle of Sherlock Holmes fame), the famous pub has undergone a makeover for the start of 2018, now featuring a plaque with Rowling's likeness and new signage across the building.

The general look of the pub is much more Three Broomsticks than Leaky Cauldron, with a tidily cosy appearance and rave reviews for its comfort food and toasty drinks. But unfortunately for Wizarding world fans, the Rowling establishment is only temporary — according to local press, the pub will be back to its former Conan Doyle theme after Jan. 25.

If you've already got a Harry Potter travel bucket list going, then Edinburgh (where Rowling wrote much of the magical series) is undoubtedly already on your to-do checklist. But to mark this one off the docket, you need to get to Scotland within the next few weeks! So grab your Floo powder or Portkey and get going — drinks at The J.K. Rowling won't be available for long!
