Grey's Anatomy costars Jesse Williams and Ellen Pompeo recently holidayed in Hawaii together, and from the looks of it, they had the time of their lives. Luckily for us, Ellen has taken to Instagram to document the fun, and on Tuesday, she uploaded a photo of the pair paddleboarding in the ocean, writing, "When you vacation with @ijessewilliams and he's afraid to lose to you in a paddle board race." Moments later, she followed up the snap with a hilarious video of Jesse pushing her off her paddleboard with a caption that read, "When you talk to [sic] much smack to @ijessewilliams."
Jesse — who is best known for his role as Dr. Jackson Avery on the ABC show — grabbed headlines a couple of weeks ago when he delivered an incredibly moving speech at the BET Awards. While many praised the actor for speaking up against the injustice of police brutality and in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, days later, a woman by the name of Erin Smith started a Change.org petition that is aimed at getting the network to fire Jesse from Grey's Anatomy. A slew of stars have pledged their support to Jesse, including producer Shonda Rhimes, who recently clapped back at the protest on Twitter, writing, "Um, people? Boo don't need a petition. #shondalandrules." Check out three times Jesse was a powerful voice for black pride.
