Oh, did you think the late-night schedule would be slow this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday? Oh, ye of little faith. On Wednesday night, Jimmy Fallon [1] had his usual mix of comedy [2] and interviews [3] lined up for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, but he also had some extra guests in the form of a trio of robots. Though we're still questioning how many of us actually need a robot designed solely to feed us tomatoes while we're jogging, the return of Sophia the Robot (who first met Jimmy back in 2017) served up some seriously impressive — and creepy — moments. The humanoid robot has learned some new tricks since her last appearance, and this time she persuaded Jimmy to join her in a karaoke duet that would allow her to show off her new AI singing skills. Jimmy suggested the ballad "Say Something" by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera [4], and if you're expecting Sophia to sound stilted and robotic, you may be in for a surprise when you watch the video.
